Finally, the long-awaited blockbuster movie Eagle Wings premieres in Lagos on Sunday the 7th of March, 2021 at the Blue Pictures Cinema. Credited as the biggest military-Nollywood collaboration in Nigeria, this anticipated blockbuster is an air force war drama that seeks to highlight the sacrifices of the military in keeping the peace of the nation.
The Abuja premiere which took place at the NAF Conference Centre on the 25th of February was graced by the crème de la crème of the society, film veterans, enthusiasts, and military families, amongst others. There were positive reviews by moviegoers following the premiere, who were enthused about the movie beating their imagination and thrilled by the stunts and gallantry pulled out by the cast and crew in telling the air force story.
The Eagle Wings cinematic experience is further heightened by the music score. Chuck Okudo composed 31 pieces of music tailored to the flow and emotional beats of the story. While the noted visual effects was done by Keneni Gabriel.
The director of the movie who also doubled as the producer, Paul Apel Papel worked with the military especially the Nigerian Air Force to gain firsthand experience of combat missions, drills and exercises. Papel has stressed that though it was a Herculean task producing a movie of this magnitude especially in Nigeria, he is deeply appreciative of the Nigerian Air Force collaboration through their investment arm NAF Investments Limited (NAFIL). The Managing Director NAFIL AVM Uche Nwagwu in response has commended their partner Papel Image Tech Ngr. for a job well done.
The film will open in cinemas nationwide on the 12th of March 2021, and stars Enyinna Nwigwe, Yakubu Mohammed, Femi Jacobs, Uzee Usman, Keppy Ekpeyoung, Francis Duru, Patience Ujah and Paul Apel Paul. #Eaglewingsmovie is set to take the world by storm.
