…Continued from chapter two
Everyone close to me noticed the change in my character. I went from being the most loved in the family to the black sheep and an outsider. I began to ostracize myself from everyone I loved. They conducted several interventions and even invited the family’s pastor to conduct a deliverance session. Nothing worked.
I recall my childhood friend from fellowship (before I gained admission into the university), Bolowe, paying me a visit to catch up on what’s been happening in our lives. Unfortunately, our little talk took an unexpected turn. I was home alone; my dad was at work and my mom had gone to the market to pick up some food items.
Bolowe was all grown up now and I could barely recognize him.
”Ebun, I haven’t seen you in a while, where and how have you been?“
”I know! It’s been ages,” I replied “but I’ve asked of you several times from your brother. Didn’t he tell you?” I was surprised at how much Bolowe had changed; he was handsome and had a very deep voice, which is a far cry from the young, short and shy boy I knew years ago.
“Ah! That stupid boy never told me. Not even once!” he exclaimed and waved his hand as if he was done with his brother’s shenanigans.
“Haba, don’t insult him, he probably forgot. But let’s talk about you for a second” I said with an admiring look.
“What about me?” he chuckled, feeling slightly uncomfortable.
“You’ve really transformed from the boy I used to know oh. Look at you! You’re so handsome now!” I felt an instant attraction.
“Well, change is inevitable my dear”
“This change is really good on you sha” I continued.
”Whenever you’re home for break, you don’t even try to hang out with us at the fellowship anymore. Why?” He asked, ignoring my compliments.
“I just haven’t had the time to come by, to be honest. Things are becoming hectic with my project, but how are you and how’s everyone?” I asked in my desperate attempt to change the subject.
“Everyone’s doing okay I guess, momcy has been asking of you though, she said hope all is well?”
“Well, now you have seen me, what do you think?” I asked, turning around to show him my well rounded, full figure.
“Well, you tell me” he replied pretending not to notice “You know you can talk to me about anything, I’m still yo…”
“Yes, I remember how close we used to be” I cut him off and moved over to him seductively.
“What are you doing?” he asked, surprised and taken aback.
“What do you think I’m doing?” I asked in a seductive tone, stroking his broad and muscular chest.
“Stop!” he exclaimed, snatching my hands away “What has gotten into you Ebun?” He asked frantically.
No man was strong enough to resist my advances. Not even Bolowe, the churchman.
I tried to kiss him but he stepped back. I persisted and hugged him, he hugged back, slightly.
“I’ve always wanted you” I whispered in his ears.
“This is wrong” he whispered back, but I could feel the bulge in his trousers.
“I just want you to comfort me, I’ve been through a lot lately, just hold me for a second.”
Fifteen minutes after our moment of passion we lay in bed having a conversation and for the first time in a long time, I opened up to someone about what’s been going on in my life.
“Can we talk about you coming back to the fellowship?” he said.
”Look there’s really nothing to talk about; maybe I have just outgrown some of that stuff.”
“Anyway, if you ever want to talk about anything, I want you to know I am always here and remember bad company corrupts.”
“Okay ‘Solomon”, I said sarcastically “we need to get dressed, my mother will be home soon.”
While we were about to grab our clothes, we heard the door open.
