Flutterwave, one of the leading payments technology companies in Africa, has appointed Tosin Faniro-Dada as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Tosin Faniro-Dada is known for her role as a prominent ecosystem builder and investor supporting tech founders across Africa. A former cover lady of Pride Magazine Nigeria’s Digital Speaks edition, she brings nearly two decades of experience in finance, banking and investment to this role.
Currently a Partner at Breega, an early-stage VC fund focused on Europe and Africa, Tosin aids founders in addressing significant economic and social challenges. Expressing her excitement about joining Flutterwave, Tosin Faniro-Dada stated, “I am thrilled to become a member of the Board of Directors at Flutterwave Technologies Solution Ltd. The company’s dedication to innovation and transforming the financial landscape resonates with my passion for driving positive change in Africa. I eagerly anticipate contributing to the company’s strategic initiatives and shaping its future success.”
This appointment follows Flutterwave’s recent additions of top-tier executives focused on compliance, regulation, and risk management. In December 2023, Amanda Ortega, formerly with the State of Wyoming’s Division of Banking, joined as Head of Compliance, US. With the addition of Tosin Faniro-Dada’s leadership and extensive experience, alongside these recent hires, Flutterwave aims to strengthen its commitment to transparency, integrity, and accountability.
