The red carpet is a time to shine and flaunt the impeccable work of your personal stylist and makeup artist because let’s be factual, behind every best-dressed celebrity is a team of creative’s scampering the room to ensure they look their best.
The 70th Emmy Awards held yesterday (Monday the 17th of September) at Microsoft Theatre and celebrities – Taraji Henson, Gabrielle Union, Tracee Ellis Ross, Regina King, Angela Bassett, Leslie Jones, et cetera – came decked in designer pieces aimed at making the best-dressed list.
But one celebrity stood out with a different purpose; Jenifer Lewis walked the red carpet in head-to-toe Nike and we didn’t have to riddle our minds to figure out why. The American multinational brand has been in the news for quite some time for its recent “Just Do It” Ad campaigns featuring the controversial American football quarterback, Colin Kaepernick.
In her interview with CNN, Lewis who seemed excited to have made this pro-Nike fashion move says she’s proud of the brand! Aren’t we all!
