This hasn’t been the best of times for Kanye West. Recently, we’ve seen him struggle with his mental health and it doesn’t help that politically, his support lies with Donald Trump. After his marriage to the popular Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star, Kim Kardashian, The rapper, unfortunately, has been the object of jokes and ridicule from his fans.
This time, however, the backlash is unrelated to his marriage – even though some may want to blame it on the conspiracy theory of the Kardashian curse, or his rants about his colleagues in the music industry, but his political views. Kanye has been very vocal about his approval and love for the US president, Donald Trump, but unfortunately, his views are unpopular. Hollywood celebrities have voiced their disapproval of president Trump and his controversial policies.
Although President Trump who won the presidential election against Hillary Clinton in 2016, has done little to nothing to garner the love of the American people who oppose him as their president, instead, he takes pleasure in taunting their opinions while disregarding their grievances.
But Kanye, who has been spotting the “Make America Great Again (MAGA)” hat in solidarity with Trump isn’t affected by the opinion of others and his recent trip to the white house is proof of this. See the video below.
This move didn’t go down well with several people who opine that he’s a traitor. The African American rapper, T.I. who claims he has reached his limits, shared his thoughts in a lengthy Instagram post. T.I expressed his anger and frustration towards Kanye who he believes acted repulsively.
“Now I’ve been extremely patient and made it a point to not jump to any premature conclusions about Ye’& his antics… Partially due to the lessons learned from the outcome of other similar situations dealing with my brother Wayne (which I admittedly mishandled a bit in hindsight) But now this shit is next level, futuristic Sambo, Hopping Bob, Stephen off Django ass shit Ye!!!! From what I can gather, This is the most repulsive, disgraceful, embarrassing act of desperation & auctioning off of one’s soul to gain power I’ve ever seen.” He said.
Other celebrities and fans have expressed their displeasure through their social media pages.
