Earlier this year, the successful, yet controversial, media personality, Linda Ikeji, announced her new motherhood status with an excited Instagram post. And although this news sparked a ton of controversy – with many online trolls claiming she’s a hypocrite because of her stance on celibacy – many were excited for her.
As the months rolled by, she shared the progress of her new journey with her online followers and well-wishers. However, another wave of controversy was sparked when she revealed her son’s name: Jayce Jeremy. Many were quick to point the billionaire socialite, Sholaye Jeremi, as the father.
Initially, she didn’t confirm or deny this claim, but she recently opened up about her relationship with her son’s father – who she confirmed to be Sholaye Jeremi.
In a long online post on her website, she claimed she was disappointed by Sholaye who had promised her marriage. She wrote:
“A few weeks after we met, it seemed like we were planning a future together. This man was already calling me Linda Ikeji Jeremi and making all these plans but then just like that, it was over between us. I went from waking up every morning to love text messages from him to no more calls. I was just thanking God for finally sending me my own man when all of a sudden we were no longer talking to each other. Later he would tell me what scared him off. My public life.”
According to her, he was barely in her life during her pregnancy and she has made the decision to completely cut him out of her life. “To be honest if anybody had told me when we met three years ago, considering how deeply we cared for each other that I would fall pregnant two years later and he would completely turn his back on me for the most part of my pregnancy, I never would have believed it but that’s what happened,”
