Our Man Crush Monday, Jide Benson has carved a niche for himself in the communications industry. He is a leader in strategic communications with extensive experience spanning two decades that cuts across public relations, corporate writing, investor relations, printing, publishing, public speaking, broadcasting and marketing.
Jide is the CEO of a full-service public relations company CAST – Communications Advisory Strategy and Training Ltd. He also runs Printmax, a printing company.
To add to his portfolio, he is an adjunct faculty at Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) in Lagos, as well as a producer and on-air personality at City FM radio station. He is also a public affairs commentator on radio and TV stations. Bringing his finesse to corporate events, Jide is a highly sought-after master of ceremonies for any occasion. He garnered work experience at Africa Practice R&B; Porter Novelli’s West Africa Office; and Corporate and Financial Communications Ltd.
Jide is an alumnus of PAU’s School of Media and Communication, and Lagos Business School; National Broadcast Academy (FRCN Training School); London School of Public Relations; Yaba College of Technology; and Lagos State Polytechnic. He has served in different leadership capacities as the PRO of both his MBA and MSc classes at PAU, and is currently the Publicity Director of the Pan-Atlantic University Alumni Association.
An astute consultant, teacher and trainer, Jide describes himself as an innovative thinker, one that helps individuals and businesses to develop profitable communication strategies to meet the needs of their target audience. He champions the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while volunteering for worthy causes, and specialises in facilitating SME clinics and programmes for organisations such as Access Bank, Keystone Bank and the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund.
Jide would be a facilitator at this year’s Lagos Creative Enterprise Week speaking on the topic: What it takes to be a Broadcaster.
