You need to research the companies that you would like to work for. Go through the profiles of the managers and human resource team. Do all this before as preparation for an interview call. Your motto in this phase should be “I am prepared”. In addition to this, keep your mind alert and alive by reading books, watching the news, preparing yourself with useful tips on how to ace an interview, and keeping up with industry trends.
3. Invest in personal development
Don’t waste time during the unemployment phase. Use period to invest in personal development.. Take courses online, go for training, and add to your knowledge and skill base.
4. Be a morning person
Morning routines set the tone for the day. You can form the habit of laying on your bed as soon as you get up from your bed – this will make you feel like you have somewhere to go. This is refreshing and motivating.
5. Network like a pro
Don’t do life alone, build your connection by networking. Go for career events online and offline, tell someone to tell someone, reach out to people you know in the career space, and just get busy and productive. There is no reason to be shy to let people know that you are unemployed and open for work. Most jobs come from referrals.
