Election season has passed in Nigeria but remember how the political parties were all over our faces promoting their candidates for us to vote for. The radio and television jingles, rallies, interviews, townhall meetings etc were all part of the strategy to gather the mandates of the people.

This was founded in 2013 and its national chairman is Abdullahi Adamu.
- People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
This was founded in 1998 and its national chairman is Iyorchia Ayu
- Labour party
This was founded in 2002 and its national chairman is Julius Abure.
- Social Democratic Party
It was founded in 1989
- All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA)
It was founded in 2002. The national chairman is Victor Oye.
- Young Progressives Party (YPP)
It was founded in 2017. Its national chairman is Bishop Amakiri.
- New Nigerian Peoples Party(NNPP)
It was founded in 2001. Its national chairman is Professor Rufai Ahmed Alkali.
- Accord
Its national chairman is Honorable Muhammed Lawal Nalado.
- Allied People’s Movement (APM)
It was founded in 2018. Its national chairman is Yusuf Dantalle
- People’s Redemption Party (PRP)
It was founded in 1978. Its national chairman is Mallam Falalu Bello
