The sixth edition of the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality TV show audition has begun. MultiChoice Nigeria on Wednesday rolled out audition requirements for prospective housemates ahead of this year’s edition of the show.
The audition stage is the first and an integral part of the show which comes before the final selection of housemates. This year’s winner of the show will go home with a grand prize of N90 million — the highest since its inception in 2006.
Are you one of those seeking to grace the much-talked-about reality show? These are the requirements:
You must be a Nigerian
Just like last year, one of the requirements for participating in the show’s sixth season is being a Nigerian. By this, you must not necessarily be based in the country prior to the audition. If you can prove that you’re a Nigerian by nationality, then you stand a chance of making it to the show this year.
But don’t get it twisted yet.
You must be 21 years of age (by June 1, 2021) or above
Age is critical in life and it didn’t come as a surprise that it’s one of the requirements for audition into this year’s edition of the show.
To participate in the sixth edition of BBNaija, you must be 21 years of age or above by June 1, 2021. This implies that you must be born before June 1, 2000.
You must have a valid Nigerian passport
Claiming to be a Nigerian without a valid passport is not enough if you’re aiming to participate in the show’s sixth season. To this end, you must have a valid Nigerian passport to be eligible for the audition.
Two-minute of yourself
Another requirement for the audition is a two-minute video of yourself. In the video, you’re expected to detail why you deserve a spot in this year’s edition of the show.
