Some time ago on Throwback Thursday we looked at games we played in the rain. It was great reliving those memories. Now let take another angle and look at those games we played indoors on those rainy days from way back. Funny enough, it was not only because of the rains that we played indoors, sometimes our parents just would not let us go out. So after doing our homework, we took break indulging in fun games. See if you can remember them listed below:
1. Rubberband game
This game had to do with the accumulation of rubber bands. Two opponents stood side by side throwing rubber bands to the other end. If the rubber band collides with another, the player has won. The same rubberband was gathered in a circle and we use a slipper to push away. The winner is the person who uses more force to push away the most rubber bands.
2. Biro cover
Biro covers were pinned. The winner is the person who gets the biro cover to keep spinning for a long while.
3. X and O
This game was done on paper. It was a game of wits and strategy. A player takes X while the opponent takes O. The person who can form straight or slanting Xs or Os without interruptions carries the day.
4. Table soccer
We used to use paper to make goalposts. A button serves as the ball and biro cover represents the football player.
There were other games we played that involved singing and mentioning nouns. The beauty of it all was that it was time well spent having fun.
