Don’t we always look forward to Thursdays and the throwbacks? Today we want to showcase Nigerian female rappers. I think these ladies were among the forerunners of rap music in Nigeria. It appears they have changed profession or maybe they are still into entertainment but let’s take a look at them:
1. Weird MC
Weird MC is a Nigerian-British rapper, songwriter, and producer. Known for her English/Yoruba lyrics, Weird MC, who is also known as Shola Idowu and The Rappatainer, is one of Africa’s most popular female rappers.
2. Sasha P
Sasha P, also known as the First Lady of Nigerian Hip Hop, is a Nigerian rapper, musician, businesswoman, lawyer and motivational speaker.
3. Eva Alordiah
Elohor Eva Alordiah, better known as Eva Alordiah or simply Eva, is a Nigerian rapper, entertainer, make-up artist, fashion designer and entrepreneur. She is considered one of the best female rappers in Nigeria.
4. Kels
Kel is a Nigerian rapper who became famous for her 2008 hit single ‘Waa wa Alright. … just to explain the existence of a female presence in his life.
5. Muna
Munachi Abii is a Nigerian rapper / hip-hop artist, songwriter, television presenter model, and actress who performs under the name Muna. She is the winner of Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2007. She is Igbo from Imo state.
