GenZ also known as ‘Indomie Generation’ have never had life so good. Technology and digitalisation have made everything fast and easy. There are some things that they are not familiar with or used to. On Throwback Thursday, we shall be taking a look at how technology has changed the way we live and how it has affected Gen Z. Let’s go there:
- Cane aka ‘Pankere’ is no more found in our homes
The cane was used to restore bad behaviour in children to ‘default settings’. Nowadays after being scolded, children are sent to the naughty corner or to face the wall. In time past, it was a cane that was used to discipline a child.
- No need for lesson teachers anymore
Google and youtube have simplified life. You can ask them questions and they would provide answers. Some years back, children had lesson teachers as the backup from the regular school. These days there might be no need for lesson teachers because children can learn everything online.
- Automation is the name of the game
Living in a fast-paced world, one can have information at his/her fingertips. Gen Z can search for their JAMB scores in peace without the fear of shame in a public domain like cyber cafe.
- Ubers and Taxify
Gen Z has options when it comes to public transportation. They can just order an Uber or Taxify to take them home safely.
