The internet trolls are not slowing down in their aim to spread hate. It’s not news that the media personality and author, Toke Makinwa, has had work done on her body; her recent social media binge-uploads prove this much. However, Nigerians are averse to major changes, especially one involving physical alteration: “Are you telling God that he didn’t know what he was doing when he created you?” is the popular reason for chiding those who surgically tweak their bodies to be more shapely.
Toke who has so far been unfazed by the bullying and body shaming recently had enough of the negativity and retorted at an unpleasant comment regarding her body.
The 2018 Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria pageant held on the 21st of September at the Gabriel Okara Cultural Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa and was hosted by Ik Osakioduwa and Toke Makinwa. She donned three different outfits by Nigerian designers, Fablane and Matopeda, but what would have been a great style moment was spoiled when people noticed her hips looked skewed.
