Dear guys, girls aren’t smiling… at all.
When the hashtag, ‘#WasteHisTime2016’ flooded twitter streets, I was hit with sundry feelings occurring simultaneously; first shock, then I found myself laughing the building down, finally I became sober – “well women aren’t entirely desperate after all”. Of course making gags on twitter and real life circumstances are somewhat different; no one wants to be alone – at least a pet dog, or cat, or even a capybara would suffice, but some people unintendedly are.
While there are contents out there in mass telling us how to ‘find bae’; ‘keep bae’; ‘hook bae’; ‘baelong to the relationship club’, yet, seldom would one find contents telling us how to, “live without a bae”.
Well, it is doable and here’s how…
It is okay to be baeless.
First, being single isn’t a disease. In fact, being in the wrong relationship is lethal and takes the wrong toll on your emotions thereby affecting your physical and mental wellbeing.
Spend time loving yourself.
This might sound cliché, but it still is unadulterated wisdom. Love takes time, effort, energy and sacrifice, which you deserve. Generously offer it to yourself first before handing it to someone else.
There’s more to life than having a bae.
Aint that the truth. Do you have loved ones that need your love? Do you have friends that need your attention too? Find the right balance, and give yourself to the things and people that matter the most in your life at the moment.
Go get that money.
Make your goals and dreams bae and chase them! Money isn’t everything, but trust me, when money calls… Um, bae who?
Having a companion is a beautiful thing, howbeit, learning to live without one is the first step to being the author of your happiness. Laugh. Love. Live.
