This week, Nollywood veteran actress and our Woman Crush Wednesday, Omotola Ekeinde, vocally expressed her displeasure with the current state of the country, sparking polarizing responses hinged on partisan politics. Although we salute her as a brilliant actress, she takes the spot today for being vocal about socio-economic issues affecting the country.
Her viral tweet read:
The Country Under your watch is Hellish! @ProfOsinbajo @MBuhari @NGRPresident The lack of Money in circulation, Now coupled with the Continuous Assault n Killings by Uniformed men’ll make this Country implode!!!It’s Unbearable! Do something!Insecurity!Fear n Desperation everywhere.

This isn’t the first time the actress has been vocal about issues that border on the general wellbeing of Nigerians. In 2014, she spoke out when EFCC arrested poor fishermen whom they claimed stole billions of state funds.
Omotola comes out every once in a while to air her views on the failings of Government.
When EFCC was arresting fishermen while billions were being looted from Nigeria. She spoke out.
Today, police is murdering citizens, everyone is unsafe and dead broke, she’s speaking out. ✊ pic.twitter.com/IUrZSo6bdR

She also led the protests demanding to know the whereabouts of the late former president of Nigeria, Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
My dear sister @Realomosexy did not start speaking the truth today. She asked: Yaradua, Where are you? pic.twitter.com/1tFLqZeHOO

It is a breath of fresh air to see someone of her repute lead the conversation most people of her status shy away from and for this reason, she holds our deep respect.
