Though having a background in pharmacy, Amanda has evolved into an accomplished, results-driven business management professional. She holds a postgraduate degree in supply chain and logistics management, and is determined to build and provide a world-class logistical service.
Amanda, with her brother Essien, founded Messenger.ng in 2018. It is a full-service logistics and dispatch company for on-demand deliveries, last mile distribution, warehousing, and order fulfilment. Currently serving over 50,000 individuals and over 40 corporate clients, Messenger.ng has positioned itself as the preferred partner for B2B partnerships and a leader in logistics Abuja and Nigeria, with plans to expand across Nigeria and Africa. It has partnered with other companies such as Jumia Food, Omnibiz, Glovo, and ShopEX TV, and has received endorsements from She Leads Africa and Africa’s Business Heroes. The company is currently raising its pre-seed round to help boost its expansion, and has received funding and support from The Baobab Network and Aidi Ventures. By March 2023, Messenger will launch its technology platform.
Amanda leads business development at Messenger.ng, given her specialisation in general business management, logistics and supply chain management operations, performance optimisation, and sales and marketing. Prior to founding Messenger.ng, she excelled in senior roles at 54gene, Zippy Logistics and Hygeia HMO. In every role, she delivered business and revenue growth and efficiency gains, and successfully cemented client relationships.
