Women who are taking the front seat and dominating in their respective fields are worthy of emulation and celebration. Today, our Woman Crush Wednesday, Jumoke Shotonwa falls into this category. She is the founder and Lead Style Consultant at Kwasee Style Company, a foremost fashion styling company in Lagos, Nigeria. She also co-founded The Lagos Wardrobe & Exhibition (TLWE), a platform that promotes upcoming fashion creatives in Africa.
Empowered women, empower other women. This is the case of Jumoke, who is a multi-influential woman passionate about women. Starting from the fashion business, she ensures women are better versions of themselves, redefining what it means to be a modern woman.
From Jumoke we learn what it means to be consistent and tenacious. She invested her time and expertise working with brands like Skechers, Darling Nigeria, Dettol, MegaGrowth, GTBank Fashion Weekend, Fashions Finest Africa, Africa Fashion Week Nigeria, Ebonylife TV, Woodin, Vlisco Nigeria, and Lagos Fashion Week to mention a few.
Her hard work is paying off. Jumoke has been featured in major campaigns that aired across Nigerian major TV and radio stations, billboards, and even in major productions – Chief Daddy, MTV Shuga Naija, and Dettol Clean Nigerian campaign with Funke Akindele.
It was during her undergraduate studies that she discovered she had a skill in styling and started selling jewellery to friends. Before founding the Kwasee Style Company, she developed expertise working at top fashion shows in Nigeria and during her tenure as the Fashion Manager at a multinational company.
Today, the Kwasee Style Company, since its inception in 2017, has won several awards such as the La Mode magazine fashion stylist brand of the year, as well as recognition as one of the top 5 bridal stylists in Nigeria. They have styled and inspired thousands of women, helping to make them feel beautiful every day. By providing essential services like personal shopping, personal styling, bridal styling, and image consulting, Kwasee has helped several brands portray their true essence.

Jumoke holds a BSc from Obafemi Awolowo University, and a certification from London College of Fashion. She firmly believes that trust and collaboration are important for any business to thrive. According to her, these values have played a solid role in her business growth. A strong believer and a woman of faith, Jumoke is happily married to Oladipupo Oladimeji Shotonwa.
