One thing we love about our Woman Crush Wednesday, Kehinde Wole-Olomojobi is that she is not only a seasoned finance professional but also a passionate advocate of financial literacy helping people create and maintain wealth from childhood to retirement.
Kehinde has distinguished herself as a strong player in the treasury management space, having over 20 years of banking experience in different positions including Bank Treasurer, Sterling Bank of Nigeria; Bank Treasurer, Heritage Bank of Nigeria; and Bank Treasurer, Enterprise Bank of Nigeria. She is especially skillful in currency trading, corporate sales, liquidity management, derivatives trading, financial modeling, fixed income trading, and balance sheet management.
Kehinde has many notable affiliations. She is an alumnus of Goldman Sachs’s London training institute, Wharton Business School, and the Lagos Business School (LBS). She is a member of the Lagos Business School Alumni Governing Council and a Fellow of the Financial Markets Dealers Association. She is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), as well as the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland and Wales.
Using her position and circle of influence, Kehinde brings to bear tremendous strategic insight and financial acumen in her current capacity as the Executive Director, Finance and Strategy of Cypress Leasing and Investments Nig. Ltd. She also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of So Fresh, a leading healthy food brand, in addition to her directorship of other firms including Montrose Farms and Foods.
Her brainchildren, AurorawithKWO and Aurora Financial Literacy Hub were birthed because she is passionate about seeing men and women take control of their finances and live fulfilled lives. Aurora, which means the dawn, is a financial literacy platform designed to provide finance and career-related guidance as well as mentoring for individuals from the organised financial private sector, business owners, budding and avid investors as well as all other walks of life. The platform has recorded massive success – hosting notable thought leaders and receiving testimonials from members on how their finances, careers, and lives have been transformed.
In a bid to ‘catch them young’, Kehinde further established the Aurora Juniors Club, a learning platform to cater to children, equipping them with sound money and finance skills needed for the future.
Kehinde is a graduate of Economics and holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester and an MBA from the University of Bangor both in the United Kingdom. She is also a member of the CFA Institute.
It is inarguable that Kehinde is a role model because of the DNA of excellence she exhibits in all she does. This makes her an endearing Woman Crush Wednesday.
Just like Kehinde, remember to #TakePrideDaily in who you are and what you do.
