Our Woman Crush Wednesday, Nosa Aigbe is on a mission to impact lives, especially moms and families struggling to balance family life and hectic careers. She is a remote work specialist who is well versed in the various ways to earn a reasonable income while working from home. More importantly, she emphasizes the ways to create a balanced and grounded life while pursuing the career of one’s dreams.
Nosa began her career journey as an Account Officer at a microfinance bank based in Lagos, Nigeria where she was in charge of managing all the cooperative society operations. Switching to remote work was a major career move for her. However, the decision was borne out of the struggle of picking up her two-year-old daughter at 7 p.m. from a playgroup. She submitted her resignation in 2017 due to the strain it caused her family and marriage.
To take advantage of remote working opportunities available, Nosa began learning various online soft skills. By 2019, Nosa’s hard work paid off and she got a job as the Executive Assistant to the CEO of ST Hub Limited, owners of Training Quarters, an online course tech platform. She then worked as the Customer Success Lead and Project Manager for a business growth agency based in Toronto, Canada where she has received massive testimonials for her excellent work from clients from all over the world.
Through a programme she created, Remote Job Academy, Nosa empowers women by equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to get remote jobs. She recently graced the 6th Pride Women Conference and spoke on the topic “Getting a Holistic Grip on Your Life in the New Normal”, advising women on how to take advantage of the increase in remote work opportunities due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Wife, mother, and digital entrapreneur, Nosa is proof that any woman can create the life they desire, which makes her an exemplary Woman Crush Wednesday.
