Our Woman Crush Wednesday, Omotayo Asani designs operational systems and infrastructure that enable businesses to scale and individuals to live intentionally. She is the Head of Business at Prospa and the Founder of Tmpl Labs.
At Prospa, a fintech company building banking infrastructure for Africa’s next generation of businesses, Omotayo’s work spans business strategy, project management, operations, and regulatory compliance. She is instrumental in creating systems that allow businesses to grow sustainably. Prospa is supported by notable investors, including Y Combinator, Global Founders Capital, Liquid 2 Ventures, and executives from Mercury, Ramp, Square, and Facebook.
Omotayo’s career is defined by resourcefulness and intrapreneurship. She has risen from Founder’s Associate to Head of Business, growing with Prospa through rapid expansion, product launches, and the establishment of operational frameworks that now support thousands of businesses. Her philosophy is simple: the best solutions emerge from understanding systems deeply, acting swiftly, and building iteratively.
She holds an LLB from Lancaster University and is a BL from Nigerian Law School. As a PRINCE2® Foundation and PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner, she applies structured project management frameworks to building products and scaling operations. Currently, she is a CFA Program Candidate and a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), further honing her expertise in financial analysis, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. For Omotayo, these qualifications are practical tools she actively uses to manage complexity, drive execution, and build robust systems.
Beyond fintech, Omotayo is the Founder of Tmpl Labs, a research-driven platform exploring what it means to live well in Africa and the diaspora. Through Margin, a documentary series grounded in research and storytelling, Tmpl Labs examines mental health, wellness, accessibility, and the systems shaping meaningful lives. Her work reflects the belief that living well is a foundation, not a luxury, and that asking the right questions can influence policy, culture, and access.
At the heart of Omotayo’s work are the principles that finance empowers, resourcefulness unlocks opportunities, and intrapreneurship drives growth and impact. She is committed to building products that work, systems that scale, and communities that care. That’s what Pride Magazine Nigeria is proud to have her as its Woman Crush Wednesday.
