Woman Crush Wednesday: Reni Folawiyo

Today, our Woman Crush Wednesday is Reni Folawiyo, the founder of Alara, a concept store in the heart of Victoria Island, Lagos that seeks to redefine luxury fashion for Nigerians. She is a veteran in the Nigeran fashion industry and has done a brilliant job by being part of the force that has helped champion the right narrative about African fashion as well as putting it on the map. Thanks to her store, the international scene has been properly introduced to African luxury.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Folawiyo explained her motivation in fine detail, “I felt that we needed something iconic that would change our city, change the way we see ourselves and also change the way the world sees us.”
