About 12,000 dead fish including mullet, croaker, and catfish washed up on the shore of Quintana Beach in Texas on Saturday, March 11, 2023. The fishes were found along a stretch of beach about two miles long. Though under investigation, the cause of the fish kill is not yet known. Some insinuate the possible causes of the dead fish may be a result of a red tide algae bloom, a chemical spill, or a power outage that disrupted the water supply.
