The Lagos State House of Assembly Housing Committee over the weekend summoned 28 out of 30 contractors handling building construction in Lagos HOMS projects in Ajara, Badagry area of the state. Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday morning declared Senator David Mark of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the Benue South Senatorial election re-run held on Saturday. The Returning Officer, Ishaq Eneji, announced that Senator Mark polled a total of 84,192 votes to defeat his rival, Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 71,621 votes. Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has promised to personally provide new uniforms for the over 400 pupils of Ifesowapo Community Primary School, Boluwaji, Ibadan which was the worst hit by the fire incident that recently engulfed the area.
