Zainab Balogun would definitely give Queen Elizabeth a run for her money!
The collection, tarsus, is thematically inspired by the historic strength and charisma of Cleopatra, queen of Egypt and expressed through the use of Aubergine – a shade of purple which represents royalty and wealth. According to the design brand:
“Tarsus represents a woman’s inner intellect, power and charm, whilst showing an appreciation for, like Cleopatra, the finer things in life… Tarsus is hereby an expression of the inner strength and sense of purpose inherent in every woman and it is the recognition of these values that have formed the ideas behind each silhouette, and has been woven into the threads of each garment in the collection”

What we think: The collection is simple enough to be worn by an everyday woman but regal enough to turn her into royalty. The use of non-sturdy, fluidal fabric gives the wearer enough room to move around without restrictions, as queens shouldn’t be caught walking like penguins. We’ll definitely be blessing our wardrobes with these.
