US rapper, Drake recorded a landmark achievement to have made history by matching the legendary Michael Jackson’s record of 13 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits.
The ‘God’s Plan’ rapper, who recently dropped his new album, “For All The Dogs,” clinched the record-tying No. 1 spot on Monday, October 16, with his latest chart-topper, “First Person Shooter,” featuring J. Cole.
With this amazing feat, Drake has been elevated to the same league as the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, for the most No. 1 hits in the chart’s history among solo male artists. Drake’s achievement has been marked by both critical and commercial success, making him a lead figure in the music industry.
According to record books, Drake now stands on the same level as music legends. However, in his quest for the ultimate title of the artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hits in history, he still has a little more work to do to claim the top spot. Currently, Rihanna stands on the second position with 14 No. 1 hits, and with the prospect of her upcoming ninth album, she is bound to grow.
Leading the pack with the most Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 songs are Mariah Carey with 19 and The Beatles with 20, which competes Drake’s ascension to the top.
Drake has had some iconic No. 1 hits that include “What’s My Name” with Rihanna, “Work” also with Rihanna, “One Dance” featuring Wizkid and Kyla, “God’s Plan,” “Nice For What,” “In My Feelings,” “Toosie Slide,” “What’s Next,” “Way 2 Sexy” in collaboration with Future and Young Thug, “Wait for U” alongside Future and Tems, “Jimmy Cooks” with 21 Savage, and “Slime You Out,” a collaboration with SZA, all from his latest album, “For All The Dogs.”
Drake has had undeniable chart record No. 1 hits that have spent just a single week at the top. Notable among these include “Work,” “One Dance,” “God’s Plan,” “Nice For What,” and “In My Feelings,”. Drake’s latest achievement builds his legacy in the music industry leaving his fans to anticipate the future.
