“Rose are you coming or what? Why ain’t you yet dressed for the party?” Joanne asked, obviously disappointed to see Rose in her casual clothes.
“I don’t know why, but I’m having an uneasy feeling about this party,” Rose spoke in a worried tone.
“Why? Or is it because of Anna? Mtchew,” she hissed. “Forget about her dear, she’s just a pained soul. Now dress up, so we can rock this party!” She said excitedly.
Rose smiled, she loved it when Joanne acts this way, like a careless tigress. Unlike when she’s being a bookworm.
She stood up, halt her feet, and taking her right hand to the side of her head like a military woman, she replied, “Alright Ma! I’ll go get dressed immediately!” And both girls laughed.
Rose wore an elegant silver, off shoulders palazzo jumpsuit, designed with crystal beads, which complemented her beautiful dark skin. She was putting on a matching high-heeled shoe as well. She was indeed looking like a beautiful black Diva as she stepped into the party hall with Joanne.
Joanne smiled, seeing every eye looking at them, made her feel thankful to Rose for wasting their time. She too was looking ravishingly beautiful tonight, with her long purple sleeveless gown, with splitting in front of it.
It was their graduation party from the university, that they organized for themselves. Friends were also allowed to come and celebrate with them. Previous senior colleagues, told them all that hosting a graduation party for themselves would be a memorable and fun-filled one. And it turned out they weren’t wrong about that.
Anna saw them coming and grimaced. She hated them so much, especially Rose, who was her rival. She stood up and walked to meet them, she was wearing a richly looking, long yellow gown. Long enough, that she supported it with her hand. And the back of the gown swept the floor.
“Hello Rose, you came.” She spoke and then chuckled, “I thought you wouldn’t. And what’s this you’re wearing? It looks so cheap. Ha ha ha, you shouldn’t have bothered coming if you don’t have something to wear.”
Joanne wanted to retort but Rose stop her by holding her hand. She refrained, well she knew talking to someone like Anna is pointless anyway.
When she didn’t get a response, she smirked and turned to return to her seat, but then she mistaking stepped on her long gown and without knowing fell on the party cake, that was kept on the table, very close by
Rose and Joanne couldn’t hold their laughter. They laughed so hard at her, and she immediately stood up and went to the restroom.
Her friends followed her and asked her to go home since her dress was ruined. But she refused, she wasn’t going to let Rose have the last laugh. She must deal with her, she told them.
She got out of the restroom very angrily and walked vehemently to where Rose was, she wanted to attack her but suddenly bumped into someone holding a glass of wine and it spilled on her. ‘What?’
The person quickly apologized but Anna glared at him before returning to the restroom. Her gown was completely ruined! No this was too shameful for her and she really wanted to get even with Rose tonight.
She came out and sighted Alex with Rose already. She gnashed her teeth, how dare she steal her man! She went over to a table and had some drinks, thinking very hard about how to get even with Rose.
A mischievous smirk formed on her face as an idea came across her mind. She immediately went to Paul, who usually organized a lot of games during parties like this, and asked him to call everyone for a truth or dare game.
She knew Rose didn’t like playing the game, so she wanted to use it to get even with her. She was going to make sure she kissed Alex in the game, just to hurt Rose. “Paul, could you do me a favor? I promise I’ll pay you for it.”
“Hmm, what’s it now?”
“Could you please dare Alex to kiss me, in the game? I’ll pay you 20k, I promise.”
Paul chuckled, “I don’t trust you, transfer it to me and I’ll do it.”
Anna hissed but immediately did the transfer.
Everyone but a few gathered to play the game. And Rose was among the few spectating, while Joanne joined in the game. People were asked to do different dares, ranging from giving a lap dance, to french kissing and many more.
They spun an empty bottle of alcohol, and whoever was in the direction where the bottle stopped, was asked to do a truth or dare. It went around and finally got to Alex. Anna smiled.
Paul then asked Alex and he said dare. Anna was very happy.
“Alex I dare you to french kiss Anna,” Paul said.
Alex glanced at Anna and then took a shot of alcohol.
Anna gaped, ‘what?’ She couldn’t describe how she felt at that moment.
Paul tried so much to suppress his laughter and was about to spin the bottle again when he heard a sound on the table.
Anna hit her hand on the table and spoke angrily at Alex. “Why didn’t you kiss me?” She flamed.
Everyone’s eyes widened in surprise, they felt like laughing but held it in.
Alex didn’t say a word and that made Anna angrier, she looked at Rose and asked, “Is it because of her?” She spoke and walked angrily to Rose, when she accidentally stepped on her gown again, this time causing it to tear.
Everyone couldn’t help it anymore and there was an uproar of laughter in the hall. Anna became so ashamed that she ran out of the party hall.
Joanne walked over to Rose and both girls laughed at her. “This is sure one hell of a party indeed,” Rose said and they continued their laughter.
