Our Woman Crush Wednesday is none other than Nigerian musician, Tiwa Savage. The former Mavin Records first lady who recently bagged a songwriting deal with Sony/ATV Music Publishing lands herself on this list for her recent firm stance against the current xenophobic attacks against foreigners in South African.
Calling the xenophobic actions ‘sick’, the brilliant artist took her official Twitter account to say that she would no longer be performing at a festival scheduled to hold in Johannesburg, South Africa, later this month.
She tweeted, “I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason, I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”

Her stance which comes at the price of losing money puts her on a much-appreciated pedestal.
