    LagosMums proudly announces the successful completion of the 10th Annual Parenting Conference, held on Saturday, October 7th, 2023. As the leading platform for parenting and family empowerment, LagosMums is thrilled to provide a summary of the event’s highlights, featuring a diverse range of thought-provoking panels.

    Yetty Williams parenting coach and the founder of LagosMums shared her joy at celebrating a decade of parenting together. She is passionate about ensuring that every parent and family thrives, especially in the digital age. Through the several events and resources through her platform, LagosMums, they have been able to help thousands of parents upgrade and transform their parenting.

    Event Highlights:

    Parenting in the E-Village

    In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, experts discussed the challenges and opportunities of raising children in an interconnected world. Parents gained insights into how to strike a balance between technology and traditional parenting methods. – Yetty Williams and Ijeoma Thomas Odia discussed how important it is for parents to upgrade their skills to be effective in the digital age.

    Digital Nutrition

    The panelists delved into the crucial topic of digital nutrition, emphasizing the importance of a healthy online diet for children. Attendees learned about strategies to ensure that children have a balanced and responsible digital presence with Yetty Williams and Jocelyn Brewer.

    Raising Global Citizens with an International Education

    Parents eager to provide their children with a global perspective discovered valuable insights on how to navigate international education systems. The panelists discussed the benefits of a global education and offered guidance on the steps parents can take to ensure their children receive it.- the panel was moderated and led by Mark Brooks. An education consultant with vast experience working with West Africans desirous of a top UK boarding or day school for their children and wards.

    Youth and Technology

    In a world driven by technology, experts explored the impact of technology on youth, including its effects on mental health and social interaction. The panelists provided essential advice for parents seeking to help their children navigate the digital landscape safely. The speakers included Foluso Gbadamosi, Ejiro Esigbone, AI Cadena, Daniel Emmerson who disused how to use technology for good.

    Preparing Your Child for a Global Education

    As the job market continues to evolve, parents sought to understand how to prepare their children for the future. The panelists discussed the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in world today by gaining a top notch education. The speakers were OluRanti Bankole and Emmanuela Ilok from Greensprings School

    Relocation, Social Media, and Child Development

    This panel addressed the complexities of relocating ans how social media impacts child development. Experts provided insights on helping children adapt to new environments while managing their online presence responsibly. The speakers included Okeyinfu Ajayi, Dr Tosin Babalola, Adaobi Olaye and Dami Mgbemena.

    Re-Imagining Parent-Child Relationships in a Digital World

    The final panel explored the dynamics of parent-child relationships in the digital age. Experts shared innovative approaches to maintaining strong bonds and effective communication with children in an era heavily influenced by technology. Additionally Praise Fowowe shared the importance of sharing family history within children.
