My dear daughter,
You are growing into a young beautiful adult, with your whole life ahead of you.
If years from now, you don’t want to look back, wishing you may have done so many things differently, it is important to think clearly what you want out of life and how you want your life to go.
Most people have a dream of discovering and accomplishing what they were ‘meant’ to do in life. From the bottom of my heart, I hope that you will discover what excites you, what you are passionate about, which then acts as a guide for the direction you want to take in life.
My dear girl, bear in mind that life is full of ups and downs and as Maya Angelou said in her book Letter to My Daughter, “You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.” On the journey through life one may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated.
Maya Angelou’s had this to say as her Mission Statement:
“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
So my daughter, my advice is that you take the time to think of what you want out of life, think hard and in depth over this and like Maya come up with your own Mission Statement. Having defined your mission in life, go all out to achieve it. Good luck, and may God bless your efforts.
