A benevolent woman is touched by the plight of Uganda’s street children. Wishing to help alleviate their need, she establishes Cornerstone Development, a rehabilitation organization for street children. But the children hardly stay in spite of free food, accommodation and free education. She cracked her brain exploring ways of making the children happy enough to make them stay and enjoy her freebies. For failure of the Department of Education to implement a court order to pay teachers their accumulated salaries has ignited contempt proceedings against the Minister of Education and his director-general. Property of the department of education, worth R1,920,000 was also attached. Liberian President Johnson Sirleaf has acknowledged receipt of the report of the board enquiry that investigated the standoff between the American-trained Armed Forces of Liberia and some unarmed civilians at West Point, Monrovia. US-trained Liberian army early August encountered a standoff with unarmed civilians in the biggest slum community in Monrovia, killing one and wounding two others.
