The Executive Secretary of Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Hassan Bello yesterday in Lagos revealed that the federal agency frustrated the activities of oil subsidy fraudsters between 2011 and 2015 and saved over $2.7 billion into the economy. Following an alleged rail contract scam to the tune of N1trillion, a Past Board Chairman of the Nigerian Railway Cooperation, Haliru Mohammad Bello has denied involvement in the award of any contracts saying that it was the Federal Executive Council, (FEC) which awarded contracts not the board, even though he signed the documents giving the approval.
