As the entertainment world awaits great performances from artistes such as Jessie J, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande at the 2014 ‘MTV Video Music Awards’ stage on Sunday August 24, where they will be performing their hit song ‘Bang, Bang’ for the first-time ever, organisers of the show, MTV Base, have confirmed Kim Kardashian and Gwen Stefani as presenters at the show.
Previously announced presenters include Demi Lovato, Lorde, Taylor Schilling, Laverne Cox and Uzo Aduba, Dylan O’Brien, Nina Dobrev, Jason Derulo and Trey Songz.
The trio of Jessie J, Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande will open the show with a powerhouse performance that will kick start the night.
Other performers lined up for the show include Usher, 5 Seconds of summer, Maroon 5, Iggy Azalea, Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Sam Smith.
“When I was the VMA House Artist in 2011, I had a broken foot and I sat on the side stage dreaming about being on that main stage,” said Jessie J. “So when I say that this performance is a dream-come-true for me, I truly mean it and to be able to share this moment with superstars like Ariana and Nicki, it’s going to be such an amazing night!”, said an excited Jessie.
Immediately following the performance of ‘Bang, Bang’ on the VMA stage, the music video will premiere globally across MTV’s online platforms around the world.
Jessie J’s debut album, Who You Are, marked the debut of a global icon when it reached No1 and was certified multi-platinum in over 15 countries. She has sold over 3 million albums and 20 million singles worldwide to date.
The 2014 MTV VMAs takes place at the Forum, Inglewood, California on Sunday August 24 and the show premieres live on MTV Base on Monday August 25, at 7pm with red carpet set to begin at 6pm.
