Today’s man crush is the sales and business strategist extraordinaire Jeffrey Williams-Edem. With almost two decades of experience in business, Jeffrey is well known for his expertise in sales optimisation as well as in business and market development.
Jeffrey is an alumnus of the Lagos and Columbia Business Schools; and his working experience cuts across various industries including consulting and professional services, food and health, as well as payment technology and financial services.
He is currently the Vice President, Business at Nomba, a payment platform company, where he is creating and driving business acquisition, new market development and growing revenue for the company. He also oversees sales, operations and the development of new products across all business units. He joined Nomba from Interswitch Group where he was Group Business Head, Merchant Acquiring.
Throughout his career, Jeffrey has made it a priority to rise above the competition through a constant improvement of the value proposition of the businesses he manages. The results of his hard work and dedication have been evident. At Interswitch, Jeffrey had an integral role in developing and deploying a solution that enables microtransactions for Nigeria’s small and medium-sized enterprises. He also pioneered the development of an integrated payment API that provides a consolidated view to all payment options for in-store and digital merchants. Industry-wise, he was a key contributor to the central bank’s non-financial acquiring industry policy in 2018/2019.
Outside the office, Jeffrey is committed to mentoring and career counseling engagements, sharing his knowledge with the next generation.
