A seeming romance is happening between former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and incoming President. According to an emerging report, the Ogun State born former President has handed Buhari a manual on effective governance.
A think-tank set up by Obasanjo, on Thursday submitted the report on strategic areas of governance to President-elect, according to Garba Shehu, spokesman of the Buhari campaign organization.
Obasanjo set up the think-tank four months ago with the aim of carrying out a study on the challenges confronting the country in the areas of education, power, economy, security and infrastructure, and the result of the study was to be made available to the incoming administration.
“Kalu Idika Kalu, vice chairman of the committee, presented volumes of the report to Buhari during a brief ceremony at his campaign support group’s office at Lobito Crescent in Abuja,” he said.
“Christopher Kolade who heads the power committee, gave various stages of the proposed power sector development plan to include, short term, medium term, long-term solutions.
“Under the short-term solution, the plan seeks to raise the country’s power generation to 10,000 MW within a very short period of time.”
