Former Political Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Alhaji Ahmad Gulak on Thursday at the Court of Appeal, Abuja division failed to secure interlocutory injunction to stop the Acting National Chairman Prince Uche Secondus from operating in that capacity.
Before the Court of Appeal were two motions, one by Emeka Etiaba SAN for PDP and Prince Secondus seeking a stay of execution of the Judgement and order of the FCT High Court while the second motion was filed by Bar. J. Okutepa SAN for Gulak seeking an interlocutory injunction restraining Secondus from continuing to act as the National Chairman.
The Court struck out the motion filed by Gulak while that by PDP and Secondus for a stay of order was adjourned to February 22, 2016 but the court ordered for a written address by the lawyers.
Recall that the FCT High Court delivered a ruling and Judgement ordering PDP to fill the vacant seat of National Chairman of the party within 14 days and further ordered that the person to be so appointed must come from the North East region of the country.
Alhaji Gulak and his group have been claiming that the court directed them to take over, a lie that was established in the court throwing a way a motion aimed at stoping Secondus from acting as acting National
Chairman, a position he occupied by virtue of his current substantive position as the Deputy National Chairman of the party in line with the constitution of PDP.
