One’s dressing is an expression of their sexuality, a reflection of their reality, and a symbol of their identity. Moreover, it might not always reflect one’s ancestry because to some that is simply history.
You could say that one’s true nature in the present is what one’s clothing represents. Provided there is sincerity and no pretense as their essence is encapsulated in the clothes people wear by which they make a statement. Merely an enactment of their lives.
If humankind would truly achieve world peace, we must all learn to tolerate each other, especially, how each person dresses. Acknowledging the opening paragraph of this poem. Not to relegate the other to second class because you feel the portrayal of their reality does not fit your social ideology. My friend, the ecology of life is characterised by diversity.
No longer would I ask why do you dress like that? Why does he/she look weird? I wonder why we judge one another by what the other wears, is it a reflection of our fears?
