Our Woman Crush Wednesday, Agnes Soyode-Johnson is no ordinary woman. She is the Co-founder and General Manager at Limitless Studios, a media company with a clear goal of using family entertainment to safeguard the future of kids.
For over 15 years, Agnes has worked as a content producer and project manager in the creative industries of the UK and several African countries. Following her graduation from Brunel University London with a bachelor’s degree in communications and media, Agnes proceeded to work in the UK content production and advertising sectors on popular brands such as the MTV Europe Music Awards, Barclays Premier League, Britain’s Got Talent, and Big Brother.
Having a strong passion for young people, education and entertainment, she volunteered at various youth organisations in London. She leveraged her media connections and know-how to work as a media liaison representative for youth magazines and through this empower youths interested in journalism and TV production.
In a bold career move, Agnes relocated to Lagos, Nigeria. She has since worked as an Agency Producer at DDB Lagos; managed Nigeria’s pioneer online content platform NdaniTV for several years as Head of Production; produced and directed commercials and documentaries for top Nigerian banks GTB and UBA as well as the telecommunication giant MTN; and produced content for Africa’s flagship entertainment network Africa Magic.
Agnes continued her youth advocacy work by establishing Twenty-Five Fourteen. Through workshops, mentorships and strategic vocational placements targeted at school pupils, the programme seeks to inspire the next generation.
The amiable mother of two enjoys creating content for groups that are often marginalised and underrepresented in the media. That is why Limitless Studios’ first franchise OmoBerry aspires to be a brand where children from all over the world see themselves in the characters.
Aside from building relationships and growing teams, Agnes enjoys equipping those around her with the resources and skills they need to succeed. Her leadership qualities are second to none. She is a book lover that enjoys acquiring knowledge and learning new perspectives. Her greatest fulfilment comes from spending time with her young family and impacting communities. Agnes’ passion for youth empowerment is contagious. Her work ethic, leadership and creativity skills are more commendable. Pride Magazine Nigeria celebrates this industrious and passionate woman for all she does. No one can do it better than Agnes, our Woman Crush Wednesday.
