I’ll pour my heart and its boiling content
My grief and sorrow to the omnipotent
I’ll curse the sun that it never shone
And wish that day that I was never born
I’ll write him a letter and I’ll tell him everything
The punches on my face ever since I became a teen
I’ll question why he let me go to live a life like this
While I chase illegally for a cool black Mercedes
I’ll write him a song and sing with this terrible voice
To make him hear the words
I’d lower the tempo as slow as a tortoise
I’ll play my talking drum and send a message through it
Asking diverse questions
Like I used to ask when I need something to eat
I’ll paint him my life and present it to him
Make him see the things I’ve been through every season
I’ll put the details and let my tears on the board tell the story
While I think about my tomorrow, today and the history
I’ll tell daddy everything and apologize for going astray
I’ll go down on my knees to beg for mercy
I’ll put his number on auto redial
Because I wish to tell everything to dad
