The death of a Nigerian activist, Toyin Salau in the United States has caused an uproar online. She was an active Black Lives protester before her shocking death.
She had reacted to George Floyd’s death in a tweet that stated “Silence is the best weapon for some but not for me I will not be silenced,”.
The 19-year-old from Tallahassee, Florida was declared missing after tweeting that a man who offered her a ride to church molested her. Long before she disappeared, Toyin had revealed in a series of tweets about how she was sexually molested by a black man.

According to the Tallahassee Police Department, cops were searching for her and she was last seen on June 6. However, her body was found days after. Now #JusticeForToyin is trending online with a call for justice.
