Our Man Crush Monday, Osahon Kelvin Edogun is creative, tech-savvy, and entrepreneurial. Having a deep interest in fintech, Web 3, marketing, and entertainment, he’s co-founded several tech companies: Viral Culture, an influencer marketing agency; Tempa, which helps to simplify financial payments in Africa; and Skrape, a crypto payment gateway that allows businesses to receive payments globally.
Before delving into entrepreneurship, Osahon worked in several organisations of high repute. He was known for his hard work and dedication. Working as the Head of Operations at Cornerstone Decor, he created marketing campaigns that increased the company’s revenue by over 100%. At Interswitch Group, he excelled in the sales executive role after developing a system for generating product sales, which led to greater brand visibility and a 25% increase in sale performance. And at PayPorte, an omnichannel retail company, he worked as a Business Development Manager. Osahon delved into independent consultancy and worked on product launch research, market validation, and sales activities for these companies such as Migronis, Edrone, and RTB House.
Osahon is the host of Viral Lagos Podcast, where he discusses marketing trends and viral content from Lagos, Nigeria and the rest of Africa. Having graduated from the University of Benin with a bachelor’s degree in linguistics, Osahon also studied financial regulation in emerging markets and the rise of fintech companies at the University of Cape Town. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Business Intelligence and Analytics at the University of Huddersfield.
