Our Woman Crush Nyandia Gachago is a chartered marketer, AI educator, entrepreneur and visionary who is helping redefine how African brands, businesses and individuals engage with artificial intelligence.
A trained software engineer turned marketing strategist, Nyandia has spent over a decade helping individuals and organisations understand and harness the power of technology. Her passion lies in simplifying complex innovations and turning them into everyday solutions that help people create, communicate and grow.
She is the co-founder of MintyLime, an AI-driven creative marketing and advertising agency helping brands use artificial intelligence to tell more impactful, human-centred stories. She is also the co-founder of Minty Academy, a practitioner-led training platform equipping learners with practical skills in AI marketing, AI design, web and app development, and no-code automation.
Within four years, her training programmes has empowered over 1,000 professionals and delivered more than 50 workshops, helping brands, NGOs and organisations move beyond the fear and confusion surrounding AI to discover its possibilities.
But behind the innovation and success is a story of resilience.
MintyLime is Nyandia’s fourth entrepreneurial venture. The three businesses before it did not survive, bringing with them difficult lessons, real losses and moments of uncertainty. Twice, she returned home to reset, spending time away from the corporate world and reconnecting with a simpler pace of life.
Those experiences, however, became part of the foundation upon which she built again. Nyandia believes that success is not only found in the victories but also in the challenges that shape the person behind them. Every setback taught her something valuable, and those lessons now influence the way she builds businesses, mentors others and approaches innovation.
Nyandia is now a respected voice in the AI and digital transformation space. Through her content platforms, speaking engagements and podcast appearances, she continues to educate audiences about the realities of artificial intelligence, cutting through the hype and fear to highlight what is truly possible.
Her influence has earned her recognition: as one of Kenya’s Top 50 Women in Business, a Top 25 Woman in Digital for 2025/2026, and TEKI Technology Creator of the Year. She has also received nominations for Pulse Kenya Influencer and Businesswoman of the Year. Yet her impact extends beyond business and technology.
Nyandia is also a passionate social activist who has used her voice to speak against injustice in Kenya. Whether online, on the ground or in important conversations, she believes that building solutions and standing up for what is right are connected by the same desire to create a better society.
Away from her work, Nyandia is a wife, mother of two girls and a proud book lover. Together with her daughters, she has created a home library, nurturing a love for reading and curiosity from an early age.
Her personal and professional journeys are connected by one powerful belief: Africa should not simply consume the future of technology; Africa should help create it. And she is building platforms to ensure African talent has the knowledge, confidence and tools to lead in a rapidly changing world.
This Wednesday, Pride Magazine Nigeria celebrates Nyandia Gachago, whose story reminds us that innovation is not just about machines and technology. It is about people, possibilities and the courage to keep building.
