This is because they carry an aura of power, poise and presence. In addition, the ooze mystery and is sexually appealing.  Moreso, men in black are not visually appealing but intellectually stimulating. 

Men in black are mostly at red carpet events, boardrooms and the likes. Men in black may want to add accessories to elevate their appearance.
