Today’s Woman Crush Wednesday, Chioma Ugo is in a class of her own. Contributing to Africa’s economic advancement in the digital age, Chioma is the founder of two companies that make use of digital infrastructure to promote African entrepreneurs and businesses.
Earlier on, Chioma cut her teeth in the professional world by first working with a former British shadow deputy prime minister, and thereafter consulting for various high-profile public officeholders.
Chioma’s accumulated wealth of experience in growth strategy and communications were pivotal in the founding of Hypebuzz, Nigeria’s leading influencer marketing agency. The platform connects brands and influencers, helping to bring to life campaigns and promotions. Chioma has worked on several campaigns with some of the world’s biggest brands.
She co-founded Prospa, a neobank startup that offers a financial operating system for entrepreneurs. Also the head of growth at Prospa, Chioma has spearheaded the company’s trajectory as one of Africa’s fastest-growing startups.
Chioma is also a forum member of Crans Montana Forum, where she joins other young leaders in creating a more humane world through dialogue and promoting good practices. She was also selected as a Global Changemaker by the British Council, and works towards empowering youths for positive social change.
