Our Woman Crush Wednesday is the phenomenal Unekwu “Neks” Nwaezeapu, who is a woman redefining what it means to build brands and inspire voices.
With over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, Neks has worked with some of the world’s most admired brands, including Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Guinness, Diageo and Eko Hotels & Suites. Her creativity and leadership have powered campaigns that not only shaped industries but also influenced how we experience brands. From co-leading the Sweet 6ixty Guinness World Record celebration of Nigeria’s Independence to spearheading Tropical Christmas at Eko Hotels, she has turned ideas into unforgettable national platforms.
Her career combines strategic brand building, business growth, customer experience design and communication leadership. During the pandemic, she drove a 36% rise in product sales through innovative digital sampling campaigns for some of Nigeria’s finest cream liqueurs.
Currently Associate Director, Business at Outori Limited, she leads a dynamic team crafting integrated strategies and consumer activations that deliver real impact. But Neks’ brilliance does not stop at the boardroom. She is also an educator, entrepreneur and speaker. As an Adjunct Faculty Member at Pan-Atlantic University’s School of Media and Communication, she teaches Fundamentals of Media Relations and PR, equipping the next generation of communicators with practical knowledge.
Her entrepreneurial flair shines through ventures such as Steel Waters Media (a social enterprise inspiring purpose-driven living), Chara Gift Curation (focused on thoughtful gifting experiences), and Raw Chow (an agro-business tackling food waste and linking rural farmers with urban consumers). She is a sought-after corporate emcee and mentor through Toastmasters International, demonstrating her full commitment to amplifying voices and empowering others.

Neks’ expertise spans inclusive brand experience design, strategic growth, visionary leadership, innovation, and storytelling. She holds a master’s degree in media and communications from Pan-Atlantic University and a certificate in professional marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK.
Beyond her career, she is a devoted mother, mentor and advocate. And for her, brands are not just products, they are platforms for impact. Her mantra is clear: clarity, creativity and consistency are the currencies of true marketing success.
For building brands, shaping futures, and proving every day that bold ideas backed by purpose can change the world, Pride Magazine Nigeria recognises Unekwu “Neks” Nwaezeapu as her Woman Crush Wednesday.
