Everybody has insecurities when it comes to appearances. There are some body flaws, we would not like to highlight and there are others we confidently show off. To be at your best, you need to let go of your body’s insecurities especially if you can do nothing about them. Instead, focus and accentuate the good about your body parts e.g Long legs, broad shoulders, clear skin etc
You need to constantly build your self-confidence whenever you are dressing up. Watch what you tell yourself every day as this is important to how you see yourself and how others will see you too. Repeat the affirmations that make you step out in confidence and style.
So what are the lies your body insecurities are telling you? You need to identify them as this is the first step to accepting who you are, your style and your fashion personality. These include:
1. You are not worthy of a great thing
Replace this negative thought with the opposite which is you are worthy of every good thing.
2. People are going to judge, make fun of you and not listen
Having the right attitude determines how we will be perceived by others. Stand upright, walk confidently and dress well. Do these and there is no way people will not take you seriously.
3. You are not qualified to help people, just manage what you are doing now
Don’t live a small life. This does not mean that you should be selfish. You just have to go beyond whatever limitations. Believe you have the capacity to grow big and work towards it. You don’t have to settle in your comfort zone when there is more waiting for you out there.
4. Remain threatened and afraid
Do it afraid. Ever heard of the saying ‘Fake it till you make it’? This applies to how you stand out in public. Don’t go about with fear, people would notice. You should be confident in how you present yourself to people. This boils down to dressing that part to look the part.
