The daughter of a former director of information of Bayelsa State, Victoria Gagariga, has been detained by the Police for stabbing a lawyer to death. Her victim and husband, Henry Gagariga, was rushed to hospital after the stabbing during a domestic dispute but died later due to excessive lost blood from the neck wound. The Durban police have smashed a gang of four rouge policemen who specialize in robbing companies. Two of the officers aged 44 and 45 were arrested by detectives in December and have been charged to court and being remanded till February 19. Another two policemen, aged 35 and 44 who tried to break into a safe at a shop were arrested last weekend by the KwaZulu Natal provincial task force.
