The inaugural edition of the Igbo Cultural Day in Ikeja is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Bishop Vining Ground, GRA, Ikeja from 11 a.m. The event is billed to showcase Igbo culture, including its customs, dances and cuisine. It will also incorporate the Iri Ji festival of Eze Ndi Igbo Ikeja Eze Uche I. C. Dimgba, Okpote Mba 1 of Igbere.
“My annual Iri Ji festival will now be a part of the Igbo Cultural Day in Ikeja and I look forward to hosting all our invited guests from the different tribes of our nation at this event,” Eze Uche Dimgba told Pride Nigeria.
A spokesman of the organising committee also commented, “The event is going to be one big celebration of Igbo tradition. It will be a fun and relaxing day for families, and for friends from other parts of the federation to come and enjoy Igbo culture and hospitality.’’
