Over 600 audience members, made up of Entertainment Industry Aspirants, Academics and practitioners, were treated to Tunde Kelani’s heart-warming movie titled ‘MAAMI’, during the filmmaker’s interactive session with past and present students of Pencils Film and Television Institute (PEFTI), on Tuesday June 10.
The event, according to Biola Adenuga, Managing Director of the film school, is a way of providing practical mentorship to the students. “We are truly honoured to once again have the iconic TK (Tunde Kelani) here with us in such a forum. The event was fully recorded and would air on wapTV across Nigeria and Africa so that everyone who didn’t attend would be able to gain from the lecture. More details, clips and pictures would be posted on www.facebook.com/pefti,” she said.
An award-winning film director, photographer and storyteller, TK who is a lecturer of Digital Film Making in the school, was also on hand to answer questions from the participants.
One of the Federal Government-approved film Institutes, PEFTI offers short, certificate courses in diverse fields of the Media and Entertainment sectors; as well as 2 years full-time/4years Part-Time National Innovation Diploma (N.I.D) in Film & Television Production, Performing & Media Arts and Music Technology.
