As singing couple, Tunde and Wunmi Obe release their new singles; the duo appears so sure they will make a remarkable impact on music lovers.
“We are glad to be back with these new singles and we know that with the collaborations associated with the singles, Nigerians will welcome the songs with open arms,” said Wunmi.
The new effort, which is coming two years after their last work are titled Green White Green and Wedding Day.
Written by the couple, the songs were produced by Bayo Joseph (for: BJay Productions.)
Featuring pop icon, 2Face Idibia, Green White Green advocates for peace and unity in Nigeria, while Wedding Day, featuring Teniim, is a song of love and an advice on the institution of marriage.
“With the state of the nation, we just decided that it’s time to lend our voices as the oldest existing group to the gospel of peace, safety and oneness,” said Tunde.
Tunde and Wunmi Obe started as lead singers in a campus band ‘Turning point’ in the 80’s, but got popular with the now-rested Charley Boy Show.
The couple has so far released five albums to their credit, with notable tracks such as ‘Fine Bara’, ‘Adupe’, ‘Mogbomoya’, and ‘Zombie’.
The new singles were released last Sunday, on June 1, 2014.
